Cookie Policy

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small values stored by your browser and returned with relevant requests. Local storage keeps preferences on your device. Wrowo uses essential platform cookies, form-result tokens and, when enabled, first-party analytics or referral attribution. Utility input is not written to cookies or local storage by the bundled engine.

Essential account and service cookies

WordPress cookies such as wordpress_logged_in_, wordpress_sec_ and wordpress_test_cookie support login, protected access and cookie testing. Duration depends on login/session settings and remember-me. Form nonces are request tokens, not a separate analytics cookie.

wrowo_flash is a single-use token for a submitted form’s result. It lasts up to two minutes; the message is stored server-side. These service features may not work normally if all cookies are blocked.

First-party analytics and referrals

When enabled, wrowo_sid lasts up to 30 days and links visits to a random identifier. Analytics may record the page path, time, referrer, device, raw user-agent and salted IP hash. The default server analytics retention is 365 days, adjustable by the operator. This is pseudonymous processing rather than a promise of anonymity.

wrowo_aff is set for a valid affiliate referral and active program; its expiry is determined by the program. It is used for attribution. Visiting an external provider may cause that provider to set its own cookies.

Display preferences and advertising

Directory grid/list and light/dark preferences can be held in browser local storage. They do not store utility input and can be reset by clearing site data.

Google ads are not enabled by default on Wrowo. If advertising or additional analytics is enabled, the operator must disclose the actual vendors and purposes and apply consent requirements. Personalized Google ads in the EEA, UK and Switzerland require a Google-certified CMP; this page alone is not a consent platform. See the Privacy Policy for advertising choices.

Managing your choices

Use your browser’s privacy settings to delete or block cookies and local storage. Some browsers offer separate third-party cookie controls. Clearing storage may sign you out, remove attribution or reset display choices.

Newsletter unsubscribing and account-data requests are separate from deleting browser cookies. Send a request through Contact Wrowo. Include the relevant page URL and enough non-sensitive detail to investigate it.
